• The council approved a $500,000 contract with Zencity Technologies for community perception surveying by a vote of 8-5.

• The council unanimously referred back to the Public Health and Safety Committee a ~$300,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to implement prevention strategies for countering violent extremism using public health methods.

• Two new ordinances related to rideshare workers were referred to the Business, Inspections, Housing, and Zoning Committee by a vote of 10-3.

• Following closed session, the council rejected a proposed $150,000 workers’ compensation settlement for MPD officer Andrew Bittell, who was involved in the beating of Jaleel Stallings, and referred the issue back to staff for further review.
