Newark Municipal Council Regular Meetings

The Municipal Council is the legislative branch of government for Newark, New Jersey.

All meetings of the Municipal Council are held in the Council Chamber, Second Floor, City Hall, 920 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Blvd. The first regular meeting of each month is held at 12:30 P.M. followed by a Hearing of Citizens. The second regular meeting of each month is held at 6:30 P.M. preceded by a Hearing of Citizens. Pre-meetings, special meetings and conference meetings begin at 10:00 A.M., followed by a thirty (30) minute public speaking session. Action will be taken at all meetings.
